The stackmeat.org has been launched in a lightning talk session of San Diego Summit. I got a lot of positive feedback from community members, so first of all I like to thank their support here.
What is this site about? During my two year experience with OpenStack platform, I always missed a central place where I can find informations about existing projects of wider OpenStack ecosystem. We have information fragments all over the Internet including mailing lists, tweets, github about the projects not marked with core status. So I decided to build a website that can enlist related projects in a searchable way. Anyway a web site don't have any meaning without content, so it was launched with a nice initial project list, including satellite or related projects tagged by custom keywords, project status and project lead. And we have one incubated project here, Ceilometer meanwhile get incubated status for the Grizzly release, and I hope they can reach core for G+1.
I hope this site will be a helpful resource for "staxperts" and new users, and it will help to add more visibility to the growing software economy of OpenStack plaform.
Finally I want to share some quick links for the site:
project search:
http://stackmeat.org/catalog
project datasheet:
http://stackmeat.org/project/#project-name#
submit a project:
http://stackmeat.org/submit-project
If you own a project or know about one not enlisted here, feel free to submit here!
Cheers,
Márton Kiss
